The high impact of pricing for Pharma
Starting pricing wrong has a huge impact on market access and profitability - and there is very often no way back to recover from poor launch pricing. During this first module, we will discuss the importance and relevance of price, pricing theory, definite 'optimal prices’, share pricing learnings across different industries - and demonstrate the concrete impact of ‘right' versus ‘wrong' pricing.Pricing in early development and launch phases
First, we will discuss the 4 important stages in the development and launch cycle - and the role of pricing and market access activities within each stage of the development of a drug:- Phase 1: testing

Senior Consultant | EversanaSam Worrapong Kit-Anan is a Senior Consultant at EVERSANA’s Global Market Access and Pricing team with over five years of consulting experience. He specializes in market access and pricing strategy across multiple therapeutic areas—including oncology, immunology, neurology, and rare diseases—mainly focusing on ex-US markets.
He has supported global Biotech, Pharma, and MedTech clients on key projects such as pricing and access strategies for innovative therapies, launch playbook development, competitive simulation workshops, go-to-market strategies, financial forecasting, and regulatory strategy.
Before joining EVERSANA, Sam was a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse and a Research Fellow at Imperial College London. He holds a Master’s and PhD in Cardiac Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from Imperial College London.
Marc Abels
Partner (Pricing & Commercial Excellence) | Monitor DeloitteMarc has +20 years of consulting experience with a focus on Pricing, Sales & Marketing in Life Sciences; and is currently responsible for the service line ‘Pricing and Profitability Management’. He has 10 years of deep pricing experience and managed several projects which all resulted in a measured bottom line impact.
